Take the time to stop and look for just a while
Notice those around you…
don’t they make you want to smile?
With their funny little games of life…
in a hurry going nowhere
Wasting precious moments… don’t they care

This old world is full of people starved by greed
Take the time to see them…
would they be so hard to feed?
So much waste around us everywhere
yet the hungry die each day
Why can’t we help each other in some way

Take the time to stop and see for just a while
Look at all the pain around you
yet… who should we put on trial?
Each and every one’s as much to blame…
still we turn our heads away
What will we say when comes our judgment day

You see war and cry that we must be prepared
Take the time to think now…
don’t you feel the least bit scared?
When the fighting’s over, lose or win…
to the dead what can you say?
It just seems there has to be a better way
