Wisdom Of The Child

Wisdom Of The Child

Scorn not the wisdom of the child… rather should you learn of it
For their thoughts and hearts have not yet learned deceit
Their cruelties are born not of lies but of truths
For they know no other but through you
Their loves and desires are sincere
yet through your own example decay into greed
as they’re taught to conform to “maturity”
They know not fears until taught to fear
They know not pain until they receive it
Yet you ridicule the child for becoming
what yourself has taught him to become
Be not their teachers… rather should THEY teach
For they know of beauties you have learned to ignore
You detest the world around you
yet fear those who would but improve upon it
Who then is more the fool?
Scorn not the wisdom of the child…
for they see love in its purest form
