Eternal

Why does it seem I’ve known you ever since the dawn of man
And feel our love’s been with us since History began
It seems so right to look at you and feel inside my heart
Our love won’t end within this life… This life was not its start
It’s as you’re more a part of me than Human words can say
For our souls have held each other as our bodies do today
To say our love’s “Eternal” is the only way I see
That I might even start to say how strong it feels to me
Yet, even mere “Eternal” seems to limit how I feel
For to have this love defined by time just simply isn’t real
